The Merry Poppins Musical Choir

Our choir is part of an international franchise with its main choir based in the Netherlands, while our Dublin group brings its own vibrant local energy. We specialise in a song repertoire drawn mainly from beloved musicals, with a splash of pop for extra fun. Young, enthusiastic, and fizzing with positivity, we’re a friendly community that loves to sing together.
We sing songs from classics such as Hair and Grease but also contemporary favourites such as Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, The Greatest Showman and Waitress. A women's choir.

I must have watched the musical movie Mary Poppins at least three dozen times as a child and teenager. Julie Andrews still is my idol. Obviously, our choir name is a tribute and wink!
I'm a trained classical singer and singing teacher. I have performed myself in a musical production: a 60-performances tour of The Phantom of the Opera, in Germany, in 2017.
To me, arranging songs for, and conducting the Poppins is an absolute blast. So proud of my girls.
Something for you?
You don't have to be an experienced singer to become a Poppin. What's important is your dedication: attending most rehearsals during a full season, and practicing your parts at home.
After the tryout rehearsal you attend, I do some vocal exercises with you, to get a feel for your voice and where you might fit in the choir. No need to prepare anything, but if you want, I can send you some music files.
